Bossjob partners with PDMN to connect 2,000+ job seekers with top firms

The job fair also featured keynote talks and panel discussions aimed at providing valuable insights into the job market and enhancing employability, among others.

Philippine-based online job search platform Bossjob announced that it has helped over 2,000 job seekers connect with top companies in the country through its partnership with Philippine Dragon Media Network (PDMN).

Bossjob and PDMN collaborated for Merged Job Fair that took place recently at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City and where more than 70 local and global companies offered 5,000 job vacancies to attendees seeking new career opportunities.

One of the event’s main highlights was the participation of government agencies assisting with requirements, including PhilHealth, SSS, and Pag-IBIG. Attendees were also able to register for a national ID through the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

The job fair also featured keynote talks and panel discussions aimed at providing valuable insights into the job market and enhancing employability, among others.

“We are thrilled to see such a vibrant turnout at the Merged Job Fair 2024. Our goal has always been to empower job seekers with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed in their career journeys, and we are privileged to have set the stage for them,” said Bossjob’s Kimberly Chen.

Bossjob, which started in the Philippines in 2018, is a chat-first recruitment mobile platform that focuses on online direct hire and talent matching, allowing bosses and talents to communicate quickly via direct chat.

Last year, the startup raised $5 million in funding to fuel its globalization efforts. It seeks to expand in Hong Kong this quarter and targets achieving its goal of serving more than 30 million users in Southeast Asia by 2026.

PDMN, on the other hand, is one of the top Chinese online media platforms worldwide and in the Philippines. The firm is committed to fostering integration, empowerment, and informed engagement of the local Chinese in Philippine society.

Commenting on the collaboration, Peterson Ang, editor-in-chief of PDMN said Merged Job Fair 2024 was a celebration of unity, diversity, and opportunity and not just a job fair.

“This event is a testament to our shared vision of merging talents and opportunities, creating a platform where employers and job seekers can come together to build a brighter future,” Ang added.
