SYNOPSIS

Setting The Foundation – 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM
This session lays the groundwork by guiding participants through creating detailed job descriptions, defining the company culture, and establishing a strong Employer Brand and Value Proposition (EVP). The goal is to ensure that the company’s vision and values are clearly communicated and resonate with potential candidates.

Activities:

  • Group exercise to draft precise job descriptions and define core company values.
  • Discussion on aligning role requirements with long-term business goals.

Session 2

Strategic Sourcing – 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Strategic Sourcing delves into innovative and effective techniques for talent acquisition. It covers leveraging niche platforms, engaging with industry communities, and utilizing the power of networking to uncover hidden talent. The session encourages thinking outside traditional sourcing methods to build a diverse and dynamic talent pipeline.

Activities:

  • Breakout sessions to develop creative sourcing plans, focusing on niche communities, industry events, and social media platforms.
  • Role-plays on engaging potential candidates and building talent pipelines.

Lunch Break – 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Session 3

Interview & Assessment – 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
This session focuses on mastering the interview process and conducting comprehensive candidate assessments. Participants will learn to craft questions that reveal not just technical skills but also cultural fit, potential, and adaptability. The session emphasizes evaluating soft skills and using creative assessment methods to ensure a holistic view of each candidate.

Activities:

  • Mock interviews incorporating behavioral and situational questions.
  • Group exercises on assessing cultural fit, potential, and soft skills through innovative questioning and observation.

Session 4

Closing The Deal & Onboarding – 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM
The final session covers the crucial steps of making compelling job offers and implementing effective onboarding strategies. It addresses negotiation tactics, understanding candidate expectations, and fostering a positive onboarding experience that integrates new hires into the company culture smoothly, setting them up for long-term success.

Activities:

  • Negotiation simulation to practice offer discussions.
  • Workshop to design an effective onboarding plan that integrates new hires into the company culture and accelerates their productivity.

Wrap-Up and Q&A – 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM
The workshop concludes with a summary of key takeaways, an open floor for questions, and an opportunity for participants to share insights and networking.

With over two decades of experience in diverse fields, he has developed an extensive network encompassing corporate, entrepreneurial, entertainment, and media sectors. 

His creative and occasionally unconventional talent strategies, combined with an in-depth understanding of the job market across various industries, positions him as a key figure in shaping the future of work.

Fleur Saguid
SVP, People and Culture
Kumu

Fleur is a Culture and People Manager with 10 years of experience in handling organizational and employee development and general HR Operations for fast growing start-ups. She is also the President and Consulting Partner at Talent Tree Solutions that has helped build teams and recruit talents for different companies in the Philippines. She is currently the SVP for People and Culture at kumu.

Fleur started her career in talent acquisition for corporate and volume roles in the FMCG and BPO industries, then eventually found keen interest in building general and developmental HR programs for fast growing start-ups in the Philippines, SEA and Brazil.

Michael Angelo ‘Mike’ Malicsi
Head of Culture and Growth

Michael Angelo ‘Mike’ Malicsi is the Head of Culture and Growth of UnionDigital Bank. Prior to this role, Mike was the Head of People Experience and HR Business Partner for Goldilocks under SM Investments Corporation and HR Head of Chef Tony’s Snack Foods Philippines Corporation. He holds a Master of Leadership degree from Monash University in Melbourne which he acquired through an Australia Award Scholarship. Mike concurrently lectures part-time on strategic HR management at Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University.

KitKat Galvey
Employer Brand Consultant

Kitkat is a Brand Consultant with 12 years of experience in Brand Development & Strategy, Product Marketing, Talent Marketing & Attraction, and Employer Branding. She also conducts speaking/workshop modules on Personal Branding and Crafting Authentic Employer Brands.

She was responsible for pioneering talent attraction programs and campaigns for GCash, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), and the Ayala Group of Companies, as well as brand campaigns for the pediatric division of United Laboratories, Inc (UNILAB).

Kitkat is a staunch advocate of flexible working, people-centered culture, Future of Work programs, and authentic branding.

Outside of work, she is the Marketing Head and Co-Founder of an online community that provides support and online resources to mothers throughout their family journeys.

Kitkat has a multi-disciplinary background – graduating with Honors from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and eventually earning her Marketing Diploma from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (Center for Continuing Education).
