GoRocky raises pre-seed funding to address men’s health issues in the Philippines

Founded with the aim to confront stigmatized chronic conditions like erectile dysfunction, GoRocky offers discreet, budget-friendly, and easily accessible health solutions.

Men’s health startup GoRocky has announced raising an undisclosed amount in its pre-seed funding round, fortifying its pledge to transform men’s health care in the Philippines.

This round saw participation from prominent investors and tech magnates from Germany and the Philippines, including Buko Ventures, IdeaSpace Investments, Pulse 63, and Kaya Founders.

Founded with the aim to confront stigmatized chronic conditions like erectile dysfunction, GoRocky offers discreet, budget-friendly, and easily accessible health solutions.

The startup’s approach melds online evaluations, medical prescriptions, and doorstep medication deliveries, thereby enabling men to reclaim their health, according to the announcement.

Patients can simply fill out an anonymous 4-minute questionnaire, and a licensed doctor reviews their responses before prescribing the necessary medication, which is then discreetly delivered to their doorstep at an affordable price.

GoRocky’s funding comes as the Philippines bears witness to a disconcerting number of men contending with stigmatized health complications in silence.

Rough estimates peg the numbers at 14 million men grappling with erectile dysfunction, 16 million facing hair loss, and another 15 million besieged with skincare challenges.

Such conditions, draped in societal prejudice, often push these men into silent suffering. GoRocky’s blueprint envisages altering this scenario, nurturing a paradigm shift in male health consciousness.

“Many men suffer in silence from stigmatized conditions. They often avoid the issue, do not talk to their closest ones and would not dare to talk to a doctor in person. We try to help men cross that bridge,” said Kiyanusch Braun, CEO and co-founder of GoRocky.

Braun said GoRocky aims to break the silence surrounding men’s health issues and make discreet, effective treatments readily accessible to all.

With this pre-seed funding, GoRocky is poised to expand its offerings beyond erectile dysfunction and sexual health to address additional areas such as skin care, hair loss, and mental health.

“Our focus on destigmatizing these health conditions is at the core of GoRocky’s mission. We believe that by providing accessible and discreet solutions, we are able to help men prioritize their health and well-being so they can be the best version of themselves,” said Joaqui Palaña, co-founder of GoRocky.
