Greentech Ecobooster was named the top innovator at the Shell LiveWire 2025 Final Pitch Day, winning $1 million in equity-free funding from Shell Pilipinas Corporation. The event was held in September 2025 as part of Echelon Philippines 2025 at the SMX Convention Center.
Greentech Ecobooster‘s winning project is a fuel-optimization device designed to improve the performance of combustion engines while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The company’s work with tricycle drivers in Parañaque was a key highlight, demonstrating how the device lowered daily fuel costs and boosted vehicle efficiency.
The two other finalists, Agridom and Pili AdheSeal Inc., each received $500,000. Agridom presented a smart agriculture solution, and Pili AdheSeal Inc. showcased sustainable construction materials.
Shell LiveWire, first launched 40 years ago and brought to the Philippines in 2020, is an initiative that supports startups and local enterprises focused on innovative, sustainable energy solutions. The program offers mentorship, financial support, and expert guidance.

Shell LiveWire has provided a great platform for us to sharpen our vision and further develop our product, starting with tricycle drivers and ultimately expanding its benefits on a larger scale. Our goal is to improve fuel combustion in engines and boost overall performance for a world chasing energy efficiency,” said Rowena Bernardo, Co-Founder (Systems & Communication) of Greentech Ecobooster.
Since its launch in the Philippines, the program has supported over 180 businesses, creating more than 900 jobs. Eighty percent of these startups have remained operational for at least two years. The program’s global reach is also notable, with five Philippine startups making it into the Global Top Ten Innovators and 16 businesses joining Shell’s supply chain.
The commitment of Shell LiveWire to innovation that drives inclusive growth is guided by Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc.’s (PSFI) “sama-samang pagtulong, sabay-sabay na pagsulong,” which focuses on building a pipeline of innovators to lead the country’s transition toward an inclusive and future-ready economy. This was highlighted by Baste Quiñones, Executive Director of PSFI.
