About Eric Manlunas

Eric Manlunas is the founder of Wavemaker Partners, a cross border venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage tech startup opportunities. Headquartered in both Los Angeles and Singapore, Wavemaker has raised over $900M across various funds and backed 450+ companies in Southern California and Southeast Asia over 21 years. 

Before establishing Wavemaker, Eric embarked on a dynamic journey in entrepreneurship and venture capitalism spanning decades, starting with a role in retail management consulting after earning degrees from Pepperdine University and Florida International University. He then founded Interfoods in mid-1996, a specialty foods venture encompassing online and offline retail commerce, subsequently acquired in late 1999 after achieving mid-sized provider status. He ventured into his second startup, Sitestar, in 1999, evolving it into one of the largest independent Internet service providers in the US mid-Atlantic region. Post-startups, Eric assumed leadership roles in various venture capital firms and hedge funds. 

Apart from his current work with Wavemaker, Eric is also a Trustee of the Philippine Development Foundation, an organization committed to social and economic development initiatives in the Philippines.
