Startup Database Philippines launched today as a comprehensive community hub designed to connect the country’s innovation ecosystem. Live at startupdatabase.ph, the platform currently lists more than 306 startups, features a community of 154 Filipino builders, and has recorded 188,000 views. Developed through a collaboration between Gobi Partners, StartupHunt, and BetterGov.PH, the platform serves as a free, open resource for the Philippine startup ecosystem.
The initiative addresses a long-standing gap in the local scene: while active and growing, the Philippine startup community has lacked a single, centralized space where founders can be discovered, investors can source deals, and builders can connect.
The platform is organized into four main sections, including a searchable startup directory of Filipino-built companies, a dedicated AI hub highlighting local startups working in artificial intelligence, and an investor database tracking over 100 angel investors, venture capital firms, and accelerators supporting Filipino founders. It also features a builders directory connecting companies with local developers, designers, and tech professionals available for projects. Listings are free to submit, and the directory has grown organically through community word-of-mouth since its initial soft launch.
In addition to the directory, Startup Database Philippines offers several tools for the local tech community, including a jobs board for open roles, an event calendar tracking upcoming meetups and conferences, a vetted service provider directory of professionals servicing startups, and ecosystem analytics providing data and trend insights regarding the Philippine startup landscape.
Founding partners Gobi Partners, StartupHunt, and BetterGov.PH are opening ecosystem partnerships to accelerators, venture capital firms, media outlets, universities, government agencies, and service providers. Participating partners receive a dedicated platform profile, logo placement in launch materials, and access to ecosystem analytics, in turn helping share the resource with their respective networks.
The platform is accessible free of charge at startupdatabase.ph, where founders can also submit their startups directly. For ecosystem partnership inquiries, contact Nuki Almario at niccolo@gobi.vc, Carlo Chen-Delantar at carlo@gobi.vc, or Jason Torres at jason@bettergov.ph.
Startup Database Philippines is supported by its founding organizations, including Gobi Partners, a pan-Asian investment firm founded in 2002 that manages US$2 billion across more than 30 investment vehicles with a portfolio of over 400 companies and 76 exits to date.
