YGG Pilipinas acquires AI education platform 10XME to expand Web3 Metaversity offerings

YGG said the Web3 Metaversity program will be able to round out its offerings with the education resources of 10XME, preparing enrolees to learn more about two emerging technologies steadily increasing adoption around the world – blockchain and AI.

Yield Guild Games (YGG) Pilipinas, the regional guild partner of decentralised play-to-earn gaming outfit YGG, has acquired AI education platform 10XME, according to a statement.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. YGG Pilipinas said 10XME co-founders Miggy Azurin and Bianca Cruz will be joining the Web3 Metaversity to help the program deliver quality AI courses to Filipinos.

10XME‘s professional AI courses will become part of the offerings of Web3 Metaversity, the educational program of YGG Pilipinas. These courses include improving productivity using AI tools and applications and integrating AI into the business workflow.

Since 2022, Web3 Metaversity has provided classes and boot camps to countless Filipinos, covering the ins and outs of web3, such as interacting with digital wallets, web3 games, and cryptocurrency.

On the other hand, 10XME, founded in June 2023, has worked with companies such as Coins.ph, Globe, and Microsoft, to improve competency with emerging AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs).

YGG said the Web3 Metaversity program will be able to round out its offerings with the education resources of 10XME, preparing enrolees to learn more about two emerging technologies steadily increasing adoption around the world – blockchain and AI.

“As we move into a world where AI is ubiquitous, the Filipino community needs relevant skills and education to help them take advantage of this economic opportunity,” said YGG Pilipinas Country Head Mench Dizon.

YGG Pilipinas’ announcement also mentioned data that shows the global AI market reached almost $197 billion last year. The industry is also expected to open up 97 million new jobs by 2025, with demand for professionals with AI-related skills and experience increasing steadily.

“AI is changing many industries around the world and our goal is to make sure that Filipinos do not get left behind,” said 10XME co-founder Bianca Cruz.

She added that 10XME, under YGG Pilipinas, will have the resources and support needed to transform more lives and help people find success in their careers.

“We’re excited to be a part of Web3 Metaversity, using the knowledge and skills we’ve gathered over the years to help others,” Cruz, who earlier led business development at the Philippine crypto exchange Moneybees, said.
