PHSW24 aims to elevate and accelerate Filipino innovation for sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are joining forces to power the 6th Philippine Startup Week 2024 (PHSW24). This year’s event, themed “ISA Para sa Bayan: Igniting Filipino Innovation,” will take place from November 11-15, 2024, in collaboration with the Strategic and Collaborative Alliance for Leveraging Ecosystems of Startups-National Capital Region (SCALE NCR).

PHSW24 aims to elevate and accelerate Filipino innovation for sustainable growth and global competitiveness. Over five days, a series of activities will be held across multiple venues nationwide, connecting the startup community and shaping the future of the region’s startup landscape.

PHSW24 will delve into crucial topics such as funding strategies for Filipino startups, the empowerment of women in innovation, the potential of emerging technologies like AI, and the integration of sustainability into business practices. The event will also feature sessions led by the ISA Steering Committee Founding Agencies, showcasing their accomplishments and outlining future plans for the Filipino startup community.

Several highlights not to miss:

Over 2,000 in-person attendees, 150+ speakers, and 120+ startups are anticipated to participate.

PHSW24 offers five tracks for comprehensive engagement: Discover the latest trends and opportunities in the startup world; Develop your startup by gaining essential skills and resources; Collaborate with potential partners and investors through networking; Invest in your startup’s future by learning about funding options and connecting with investors; and Showcase your startup to a global audience.

“The sixth edition of Philippine Startup Week aims to broaden our horizon by not only fostering innovation within the Philippines but also strengthening connections across Southeast Asia. With funding investments for Filipino startups on the rise after the ‘funding winter,’ we are committed to empowering local entrepreneurs to make a significant impact in the region,” said DOST Undersecretary and ISA Chairwoman  Leah Buendia.  “As one of the leading startup ecosystems in SEA, we will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders from across the region, laying the groundwork for a more collaborative, resilient, and globally competitive startup ecosystem.”

Since its inception in 2019, PHSW has grown into the Philippines’ largest startup conference, spearheaded by DOST, DTI, DICT, and SCALE NCR. Over the past five years, it has attracted over 155,000 participants and showcased more than 350 startups, fostering collaboration and innovation across various sectors.
