SYPNOSIS
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives drive multiple benefits in an organization such as increased creativity, innovation, and engagement. Yet, while the Philippines scores highly on DEI issues such as gender parity for women in senior roles, the country still has work to do. A recent Gender Gap report shows the Philippines slipped two places in the Global Gender Gap Index. Although larger organizations in particular have a corporate responsibility to drive DEI initiatives, the truth is that everyone must pitch in.
The need for further DEI development is why The Independent Investor’s upcoming Open Access event will delve into this important topic. The two-part event will kick off with a presentation from a leading DEI advocate to highlight both the challenges and early inroads made in the Philippine startup ecosystem. Next, a panel discussion will feature top corporate executives who will share their best practices that can provide more learning and insights that entrepreneurs everywhere can use to create businesses that are truly for all.
