Silicon Valley’s Developer Camp to launch inaugural Manila Hackathon in March

The three-day hackathon brings a Silicon Valley-style "collaborative impact" model to the local tech ecosystem.

The global Developer Camp community will host its first Philippine event from March 6 to 8, 2026, at The Astbury in Poblacion, Makati. The three-day hackathon brings a Silicon Valley-style “collaborative impact” model to the local tech ecosystem, moving away from traditional pitch competitions toward the creation of functional, fundable prototypes.

Founded in 2007, Developer Camp has spent 18 years expanding to more than eight countries, establishing a legacy of community-driven innovation. The organization is credited with providing the early environment for several globally recognized technologies, including the foundations of the OAuth open protocol and the development of platforms like Square, Temple Run, and TestFlight.

In their latest VisionDevCamp event, Developer Camp hosted the world’s largest gathering of Apple Vision Pro developers and featured immersive AV/ AR applications that showcased novel uses of spatial computing and mixed reality.

The Manila event invites a cross-disciplinary group of technologists, designers, and entrepreneurs to build applications focused on four core pillars: the future of work, climate regeneration, health and human potential, and collective prosperity. Participants will have 48 hours to iterate on ideas involving machine learning, blockchain, and spatial computing, guided by a team of international organizers. The leadership team includes Twitter co-creator Dom Sagolla, Embodied Future founder Anna Spisak, strategist Suzan Mac Cormac, and producers Paula Rosales and Giselle Tomimbang-Mercado.

The program begins on March 6 with a keynote and matchmaking session, followed by intensive building blocks, technical Q&A sessions, and workshops with industry experts. The weekend concludes on March 8 with a final demonstration and awards ceremony, where projects will be judged for their technical merit and potential for real-world impact. Winners will receive recognition and access to a global network of sponsors and collaborators.

Registration is now open, with early-bird tickets starting at ₱600 ($15). A full three-day pass, which covers workspace, meals, and access to proprietary sponsor technologies, is available for ₱3,000 ($50). Interested parties can secure their attendance through the official Developer Camp website, or click here
