Engkanto Brewery, a pioneer in the Philippine craft beer scene, has officially opened its first-ever taproom, Engkanto Taps, in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The new taproom offers a wide selection of Engkanto’s finest beers on tap, including the World’s Best Honey Beer, High Hive Honey Ale.
Engkanto Brewery has quickly gained international recognition for its innovative and high-quality beers. The brewery’s commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and traditional brewing techniques has resulted in a diverse range of flavors and styles.
“We believe opening Engkanto Taps is the best way to directly share the fantastic craft experience with the growing craft community in the country,” shares Ian Paradies, Founder of Engkanto. “While the beers are the highlights of the taproom, we also want to demonstrate how well they pair with the different dishes on the curated menu,” he adds.

Engkanto Taps offers a unique dining experience, pairing Engkanto’s award-winning beers with a diverse menu crafted by Chef Luis de Terry. From the spicy Croqueta Gonzalez to the classic Bacolod-inspired Yiken’ Inasal sa Gata, each dish is designed to enhance the beer-drinking experience.
In addition to its extensive beer selection, Engkanto Taps offers a creative cocktail menu that reimagines classic drinks with a beer twist. The Nutty & Nice-presso, for example, combines the creaminess of Nutty & Nice Choco-Nut Stout with espresso, while the Sampa-Loca Highball blends the zesty Green Lava Double IPA with agave syrup.

“It’s been a long time coming,” quips Michael ‘MJ’ Jordan, Brewmaster of Engkanto. “I live in the area around Sta. Rosa and there’s really no place to go when you want to unwind in the evening after 9 PM or 10 PM. So now at Taps, we get to enjoy a laidback atmosphere with awesome people over great beer and food.”
Beer enthusiasts can explore a wide range of 12 beers on tap, including core lineup and limited release brews. For those new to craft beer, the beer flight offers a convenient way to sample four different beers.
“For us at Engkanto, the best way to offer the perfect craft beer experience is at Taps,” shares Ricard Basora, Managing Director of Engkanto. “Everything about great local craft beers is here, plus the unique cocktails and complementing food. All that you want from the liquid gold that makes us happy were incorporated really well. It’s so exciting to launch this new line of taprooms we have because we’re also looking at opening in Metro Manila really soon,” Ricard reveals.
Engkanto Taps – Sta. Rosa, the first taproom of Engkanto Brewery from the most award-winning Filipino craft brewery, is open at Erhlind Square, Sta. Rosa, Laguna (across Paseo de Sta. Rosa Outlets) from 5 PM to 2 AM.
